New directions

Open Productions is committed to engaging with emerging technologies and exploring the new possibilities for innovation that they present. Digital production has blurred the edges of the previously discreet media of video, audio, photography and print with a subsequent loosening of the constraints that surrounded them, these media have converged precipitating a corresponding evolution of working methods and conventions.

High quality analogue production used to be a very expensive and complex process only available to those who had sufficient resources to sustain it. These were inevitably large organisations with consequently high levels of systematic and intellectual inertia. New digital production methods are lightweight, flexible and responsive, they present new challenges and possibilities in how we percieve, store and disseminate knowledge and concepts.
